This may be our biggest challenge yet …
More than 11 years ago, God gave me the vision for the Scott Free Clinic ministry. By removing the barriers of cost and access to provide eight core services for free, since our start SFC has helped thousands of people around the world change their lives. We’ve counseled and supported scores of church leaders. And we’ve consulted with churches and Christian organizations to help them better accomplish their missions.
Today, we launched a campaign that may be our biggest challenge yet.
This morning Scott Free Clinic launched a “Save Our Office” campaign because the one-year rental agreement for our current tiny office expires in early October. The challenge is that rates for office rentals have gone up, and to keep an office we’ll have to raise more funds at one time than we ever have before —- about $8,000. However, it is absolutely essential to this ministry that we be able to maintain an office, even if it’s a tiny workspace that doesn’t fully meet our needs.
You see, for the first nine years of this ministry, we had to function without an office. We cobbled together using coffee shops and the ministry’s car to be able to provide our services. With significant difficulty, we were able to make that work — thanks be to God! — but we were able to vastly improve our capacity to function and serve people, churches, and organizations when we finally were able to rent our first office two years ago.
To lose our office would result in a dramatic, negative setback for this ministry, and would directly negatively impact our ability to continue providing our services at our current capacity. The office we’re functioning out of is significantly less than what our actual needs are — we need to be able to rent a full headquarters to service an international ministry, but a small private office that is more workspace than “office” at least keeps us sustainable at a level that greatly helps many people change their lives each year.
So I’m writing this blog post to ask you to consider donating to our “Save Our Office” fund. If you’ve never donated to SFC before, please seriously consider doing so today. If you have donated to SFC before, please prayerfully consider making a new donation today. Any amount will be helpful, and if you can be particularly generous, we would appreciate it. You can donate to SFC directly from our website here, and from our donation page there’s even a QR code you can use if you prefer.
When you donate to SFC, you’re directly providing services that are life-changing to people around the world. And, because Scott Free Clinic is a 501(c)(3) public charity, all donations are tax deductible.
Thank you for your consideration, and your prayers.

Dr. James Scott, Jr.
