Is Jesus a liar?

Jesus once made a very bold promise: “I’m leaving you with a gift — peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid,” John 14:27. That’s quite a promise! But if you look at the lives of a lot of people — including a lot of people filling the pews of today’s churches — you might think Jesus was a liar as you observe so many lives lacking “peace of mind and heart.”

But Jesus wasn’t a liar.

When our lives lack that peace Jesus promised, it isn’t because He failed to do what He’s promised. The problem is on our end.

Helping people overcome that problem is a primary motivation for the international ministry of Scott Free Clinic. There are so many broken lives out there, inside and outside the church; so many pastors who are overwhelmed and experiencing anything but that peace; and so many churches not helping people discover the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding.

Part of our mission is to help people and pastors discover this promised peace by helping them become whole persons in Christ. By providing free access to a significant menu of services for people, pastors, and churches, Scott Free Clinic is helping people, through Christ, to discover that peace that Jesus promised. To be able to do that, we need your financial support.
