A potent dollop of truth …

If I could only share one passage of scripture with a person, which passage that would be would depend on the person, their current relationship status with God, and what’s happening in their life.

But there is one passage that is such a potent dollop of truth, I routinely share it. It’s truth offered in pristine condition. It’s truth that will shape your life for the best if you make it your life-long practice. It’s these words of Jesus:

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash,” Matthew 7:24-27.

If you make your life practice listening to Jesus, and then obeying Him, then you can endure any kind of storm you will experience in life. If you don’t listen, and you don’t obey, whatever your foundation for living is will fail you.

Choose your foundation wisely.
