“I WAS JUST WONDERING …”: A few insights you may not understand about a very fruitful ministry …

October of 2023 will mark the ninth anniversary of the incorporation of Scott Free Clinic as an independent, non-profit, parachurch ministry (recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity) … and some people (who even know me well!) still ask, “Now, what is it that you do?”

Even though our website has all sorts of information about this ministry, including “Frequently Asked Questions” (you can find that here) and two key videos (a very short one here and a more detailed one here), there’s more important information about us. Please, take just a minute to read on for a few more insights about Scott Free Clinic:

    • Most people know us for the comprehensive Christian clinical counseling or Pastor Care services we provide, but we actually do more than that! Scott Free Clinic has SIX core services, all of which are FREE. Learn about our six core services here. Some exciting news is that we hope to add world-class Brain Health Coaching as a seventh core service later this year.
    • Through the use of technology, Scott Free Clinic is as close to you as your next door neighbor! As long as a person can access the internet in any way (smartphone, tablet, laptop, desktop computer, etc.), we can provide our free services to them anywhere in the world.
    • Even though we’re a “free clinic,” we work with EVERYONE, from the poor to the rich, and everyone in-between. We still NEVER charge for any service; we do always encourage anyone who CAN donate to this ministry and/or become a regular monthly Care Partner to do so.
    • Although people across the country and around the world inquire about and request services from Scott Free Clinic on a DAILY basis, we’re still only partially launched and still operating at minimal capacity, but for a SINGLE reason – lack of financial support. Even at minimal capacity, God has used this international ministry to save/change MORE THAN 2,600 lives. IMAGINE what could happen if we had the support needed to fully launch and operate at full capacity!
    • Our services aren’t the only things of value we provide for FREE, we’re constantly offering FREEBIES to serve and benefit people in different ways. For example, you can subscribe to our blog for FREE here, you can subscribe to our regular Newsletter for FREE here, if you’re a church leader you can subscribe to our Church Leaders Newsletter for FREE here, and we have more than 100 helpful reading recommendations on a broad array of topics available in our FREE “Self-Help Toolbox” that you can find here. We work very hard to provide materials and services that help people change their lives.
